UK helps nuke Palestine

At least thats what Aljazeera are reporting.

According to their sources, the UK sold 20 tonnes of Deuterium (heavy water) to Israel back in 1958.
Deuterium is useful in nuclear fusion reactions, especially in combination with tritium, because of the large reaction rate and high energy yield of the D-T reaction.
Deuterium has a permanent lifespan.

During World War II, Germany was known to be conducting experiments using heavy water as moderator for a nuclear reactor. This was a source of concern because it might allow them to produce plutonium for an atomic bomb. Ultimately it led to an important Allied operation, the Norwegian heavy water sabotage, to destroy the Vemork deuterium production facility in Norway.

Oddly enough the Deuterium that the UK supposedly sold to Israel originated from Norway.
