Abu Bakar Bashir to be released
Astoundingly after only serving 3 years in prison Abu Bakar Bashir could be released early next year.
Abu Bakar Bashir is the spiritual leader of Jemaah Islamiyah ( the group blamed for a series of deadly attacks in Indonesia )
With close links to al-Qaida and convicted in March of conspiring in the 12 October 2002 bombings of two crowded nightclubs in Bali which killed 202 people, Bashir still denies having any terrorist links.
As part of the Indonesia's Independence Day celebrations, he and thousands of other inmates are to have their sentences reduced.
