Insurgents arrested

U.S. and Iraqi soldiers arrested 200 suspected fighters in the northern town of Tal Afar, near Iraq's borders with Syria.

The Iraqi army said 150 of those arrested were Arabs from Syria, Sudan, Yemen and Jordan.
U.S. and Iraqi forces recently launched a massive campaign against fighters in Tal Afar.

Iraqi officials said that most residents escaped the city following the joint military operations.
"Our forces arrested 150 non-Iraqi Arabs yesterday in addition to 50 Iraqi terrorists with fake documents as they were trying to flee the city.
