Mosul shut down

Duraid Kashmula, the Governor of Mosul has announced the closure of 5 bridges that cross the river Tigris in the city.
US forces have been ordered to shoot anyone attempting to cross the bridges.
This follows yesterdays suspected suicide bomber attack on the US Marez base in which 22 people were killed.

1000 Iraqi policemen dead

According to Iraqs interim Interior Minister Falah al-Naqib, 1000 policemen have been killed in Iraq since the US-led coalition re-established the war-torn country's security forces.
