Another Arafat down
Moussa Arafat, Yasser Arafats cousin, has been gunned down outside his home in Gaza.
Around 30 gunmen belonging to The Salaheddin Brigades, the armed wing of the 'Popular Resistance Committees' attacked his home, exchanged fire with Moussa's bodyguards before eventually killing him and kidnapping his son, Manhal.
The 'Popular Resistance Committees' are made up from members of the Hamas and Islamic Jihad extremist organisations.
They have yet to give a reason for the attack, saying 'The Salaheddin Brigade claims to have eliminated the collaborator Moussa Arafat and kidnapped his son Manhal for reasons to be announced later.'
Moussa, Chief of military intelligence in Palestine, tried to eliminate the Hamas and Islamic Jihad organisations in the 1990's, so this might be one obvious reason.
